Moved to the Morning Due to Afternoon Weather: Canvasing
We will be canvasing from 1:00 PM to 3:00. At 3:00 we will meet at Chapel Hill Community Center to begin our first Walk the Walk with Maria event.

Walk the Walk with María: Bolin Creek Trail
Bolin Creek Greenway 120 S. Estes Drive Chapel Hill, NC 27514, Chapel Hill, NC, United StatesMeet us at Chapel Hill Community Center (120 S. Estes Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514) for a walk on the Bolin Creek Greenway. You can walk as much or as little of the greenway as you like. It's a great opportunity to spend some time with María. The community center park is itself a great destination with excellent play equipment for children. The entrance to the Bolin Creek Trail is near the playground.

Canvassing
District 1: Chapel Hill and Carrboro Chapel Hill, United StatesWe will begin canvasing at 1:00 PM, and continue till 3:30. We would appreciate your help for any portion of this time you can give. Canvasing is a great way to let the wider community know that you plan to vote for María and give your neighbors a little more information about her. In case of inclement weather, this event will be rescheduled.

Walk the Walk with María: Bolin Creek Trail, part 2 (Start at Umstead Park)
This event was cancelled due to snow and ice. We have other Walk the Walk events planned for the weeks ahead. Please check our calendar for available times to join María and other supporters on these walks. On Saturday, July 31 we will begin at Umstead Park and walk the western end of the Bolin Creek Trail. The trail intersects Tanyard Branch Trail near the park. We will start there and walk in the direction of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The Bolin Creek Trail was damaged in recent storms, and repairs are ongoing. We appreciate the hard work and dedication of the parks departments in both Chapel Hill and Carrboro as they maintain the beautiful trails in southern Orange County. The trail runs along the south side of the creek on the heavily wooded slope to the south of the park. From the park there are bridges crossing the creek, and either one will take you to the trail which is broad and level enough for even small children to enjoy. The section of the trail we intend to walk is highlighted in orange on the map below. Come join us at the park at 3:00 PM to talk with María along the way.

Please watch the weather and stay safe. This event sponsored by the Democratic Women of Orange County will give you a chance to meet candidates for Orange County offices as well as candidates in statewide races. The event will be held at the Whitted Human Services Building (300 W Tryon St, Hillsborough) starting at 3:00 PM.
